This Privacy Policy explains how Ikabod Labs, LLC (“ikabod.ai,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our text-messaging (SMS/MMS), WhatsApp, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect
We collect the information you give us and the information needed to deliver the Services:
- Contact & account data: your mobile phone number, name, and business details.
- Message content you send us: texts, photos of notes/receipts, voice memos, and any job, customer, pricing, or invoice details you include.
- Content we generate for you: invoices, bids/estimates, customer records, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Customer information you provide: the names, contact details, and job details of your customers, which you share with us so we can prepare your paperwork.
- Usage & technical data: message timestamps, delivery status, and limited device/network metadata provided by carriers and messaging providers.
2. How we use information
We use the information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services — reading your notes/voice memos and producing invoices, bids, customer records, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Send you service and transactional messages (e.g., confirmations, invoices, bids, reminders, and replies to your requests).
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS / text-messaging data & consent
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging delivery, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
When you text us or opt in to our messaging program, we collect your mobile number and your consent to receive messages. We use this information only to operate the messaging program described in our Terms of Service — for example, to reply to you, deliver invoices and bids, and send reminders and follow-ups you have asked for.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and you can get help by replying HELP or contacting us at the details below. See our Messaging Terms for full details.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers / subprocessors: messaging carriers and platforms (e.g., SMS aggregators, WhatsApp), cloud hosting, and AI processing vendors that help us operate the Services, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us.
- At your direction: when you send an invoice or bid to your customer, we transmit it as you instruct.
- Legal & safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and maintain your records (such as invoice and customer history), and thereafter as required for legal, accounting, or legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices & rights
- Opt out of messages: reply STOP at any time.
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing). We will honor verified requests as required by law.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes may also be communicated by message.
